New Appointment System Boosts Efficiency in UAE’s Indian Visa Services

Date:

In a bid to streamline its consular services, Indian diplomatic missions in the United Arab Emirates have launched a revamped system that allows applicants to schedule appointments for passport, visa, and attestation services via an official online portal. This initiative eliminates the need for any additional booking fees, aiming to enhance user convenience and combat unauthorized charges.

The Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General of India in Dubai are now directly overseeing these consular services from their respective offices. This change is designed to simplify the application process, bolster operational efficiency, and safeguard applicants from unofficial service fees. By managing these services in-house, the missions seek to provide a more transparent and straightforward experience for applicants.

Applicants have been advised to utilize only the official online portal to make their appointments for various consular needs. The missions have cautioned against paying any individuals or agencies that claim to facilitate appointment bookings or offer expedited services on behalf of the Indian missions. Such entities are not authorized, and applicants should remain vigilant to avoid falling prey to these unauthorized intermediaries.

Furthermore, the missions have issued warnings that any group or person purporting to be officially sanctioned to offer appointment scheduling services should not be trusted. Individuals who suspect they have been overcharged, deceived, or misrepresented are urged to report these incidents through the official communication channels provided by the Embassy or Consulate.

Indian nationals and travelers residing in the UAE are encouraged to rely exclusively on official announcements and verified sources for information regarding consular services. This precaution is essential to prevent fraud and avoid unnecessary expenses. By adhering to these guidelines, applicants can ensure a secure and efficient process in accessing the services they require.
