Trump Turns on Putin: “He’s Gone Absolutely CRAZY!” After Ukraine Escalation

Date:

President Donald Trump has launched a scathing attack on Vladimir Putin, declaring the Russian leader has “gone absolutely CRAZY” following intensified strikes on Ukraine. In a strongly-worded Truth Social post Sunday night, Trump warned that Putin’s apparent ambition to conquer all of Ukraine would spell “the downfall of Russia.”
The dramatic shift in tone comes after Russia unleashed its largest air assault in three years of conflict, launching 298 drones and 69 missiles across Ukrainian territory. The weekend bombardment killed at least 12 people, including three children, prompting Trump to express shock at Putin’s escalation despite ongoing ceasefire efforts.
Trump, who previously boasted of having a “very good relationship” with Putin, now appears ready to impose additional sanctions on Russia. When asked by reporters about new punitive measures, the president responded decisively: “Absolutely. He’s killing a lot of people. What the hell happened to him?” The president’s changed stance marks a significant departure from his campaign promises to end the war within 24 hours.
