Indian Railways to Introduce Three New Vande Bharat Express Trains

Indian Railways is set to launch three new Vande Bharat Express trains, expanding its network of semi-high-speed services. These new trains will enhance connectivity and improve the travel experience for passengers.
The three new routes will be:
Bengaluru-Belagavi
Ajni-Pune
Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-Amritsar
According to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, Vande Bharat Express trains have maintained high occupancy rates. The overall occupancy for the financial year 2024-25 was 102.01%, and for the current fiscal year (up to June 2025), it stands at 105.03%.
Vande Bharat Express trains are equipped with modern features to ensure passenger safety and comfort. These include the KAVACH safety system, CCTV cameras in all coaches, and an aerosol-based fire detection and suppression system. The trains also have air conditioning with a UV-C lamp-based disinfection system and special lavatories for Divyangjan passengers.
Currently, the trains are available in 8, 16, and 20-coach variants, with seating options including Chair Car (CC) and Executive Chair Car (EC).
