Takaichi, Modi Discuss Economic Collaboration at Japan-India Summit in New Delhi

Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi has touched down in New Delhi for a significant three-day official visit, her first to India. The visit is centered around the 16th India-Japan Annual Summit, where Takaichi will engage in discussions with her Indian counterpart, Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The primary focus of their meeting is to fortify the robust bilateral relations between the two nations.

The summit is poised to address a multitude of collaborative opportunities, with expectations set on dialogues covering key areas such as trade, investment, defense, technology, and regional security. Furthermore, the leaders will assess the ongoing progress of the India-Japan Special Strategic and Global Partnership, a pivotal framework that guides the cooperation between the two countries.

On her arrival, Prime Minister Modi expressed his pleasure in hosting Prime Minister Takaichi, highlighting the importance of her inaugural visit to India.
