Carrier Launches Indoor Air Quality Program to Mitigate Wildfire-Driven Health Risks

Date:

INDIANAPOLIS—In response to deteriorating air quality caused by widespread wildfires, Carrier has initiated a comprehensive indoor air quality program. This initiative is designed to address the infiltration of airborne particulate matter into homes, schools, and workplaces. Carrier advises residential and commercial property owners to implement protective measures, including the installation of high-efficiency HVAC filtration systems, structural sealing to prevent smoke ingress, and the use of portable air purifiers equipped with HEPA filters.

“Indoor air quality is a critical component of public health, especially during wildfire events,” stated Nick Arch, Vice President of Residential Solutions at Carrier. “Our technologies are engineered to provide effective protection and peace of mind.”

As part of its corporate social responsibility efforts, the company recently donated $2.5 million in air purification units to educational institutions and frontline personnel in Los Angeles.
