Priyanka hosts screening of ‘Chhello Show’ for Oscar voters in LA

Priyanka Chopra Jonas recently played host to a special screening of ‘Chhello Show’ (Last Film Show), India’s official entry for the Academy Awards, for the esteemed Oscar voters in Los Angeles.

‘Last Film Show’ is among the 15 films shortlisted for Best International Feature Film at the 95th Academy Awards, alongside notable entries like ‘Decision to Leave’ from Korea, ‘Holy Spider’ from Denmark, and ‘Joyland’ from Pakistan.

The screening in Los Angeles witnessed the presence of the film’s lead actor, Bhavin Rabari, along with director Pan Nalin and producer Dheer Momaya, alongside a gathering of Academy members.

Sharing her enthusiasm, Priyanka expressed her pride in India’s cinematic achievements and her delight in supporting talents from her homeland. She particularly praised director Pan Nalin, highlighting his acclaimed work ‘Angry Indian Goddesses’ and expressing her excitement for ‘Last Film Show.’

In a statement, director Pan Nalin and producers Siddharth Roy Kapur and Dheer Momaya expressed their gratitude towards Priyanka for her support. They commended her as a global icon and appreciated her generosity in hosting the screening.
